Moroccan Cooking

According to Wikipedia, Moroccan Cuisine “is one of the most diversified cuisines in the world…a mix of Arab, Berber, Moorish, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, African, Iberian, and Jewish influences.”

Typically Moroccan meals begin with a simple selection or mezze, which may include a bowl of olives or cooked vegetable salads dressed with olive oil, sprinkled with cumin, and served with a dip and flat bread.

The ‘tagine’ may come next, served with couscous and a salad.

Fresh fruit or dessert marks the end of the meal, before mint tea is served.

The conical clay pot, also called a tagine, is filled with meat, dried fruit and vegetables, and left to cook for hours on a low heat, producing the most tender, delicious stew.

Create your Moroccan kitchen with our diverse range of quality cookware and serving accessories, ideal for making tagines, casseroles and stews in the oven or on a hob.

Try lamb and apricot, chicken and olive, or a veggie tagine.
